2 cups sourdough starter (refer to Nourishing Traditions)
1 cup sprouted wheat, kamut or spelt flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
milk, cream, kefir or buttermilk (for thinning if necessary)
Mix sourdough starter with sifted flour in a large bowl. Cover and let sit at room temperature for approximately 12 hours.
In the morning, add eggs, salt, baking soda and liquid dairy to achieve desired consistency, then fry in your choice of fat until golden brown. Top with butter, syrup, honey, creme fraiche, etc.
